Homeless youth left anxious without housing security

 

The 2017 NSW Advocate for Children and Young People Consultation report revealed homeless youth are feeling increasingly anxious without housing security. The report stated almost half of people accessing homeless services are under the age of 24. The Federal Budget this year has increased funding to homeless services, but is this enough to aid Australia’s young?

Young activists gathered outside the Prime Minister’s office to protest against the government’s support a public fund to help build the multi-billion dollar Adani Mine project. The activists, all part of the Australian Youth Climate Coalition, are hoping to put climate change at the forefront of the public agenda.
